Pre-summer Team Retreat
In Mark’s Gospel, before feeding the five thousand, Jesus models the practice of retreating to a quiet place with his disciples to prepare for what is ahead. Fittingly, the Shepherds kick off their summer experience by heading up for a couple of days at Pine Summit Camp at Big Bear Lake, CA to spend some time growing closer as a team and prepare them what is to come.

As we come together from all corners of the United States (and beyond!), it is crucial for us to foster stronger bonds as a team before embarking on our two-month ministry.
We begin by diving into the discipleship curriculum that our staff has prepared before the summer starts.
The calm before the (paintball) storm! We began to develop teamwork and communication in a high stress environment. Life lessons and welts were all earned that day.
