Created in 2018, the Shepherds mission is to minister and lead youth summer camps in Southern California and give collegiate baseball players an environment to develop their game. During the time that the team has been in action, we have seen tremendous growth and alignment in our ministry and bear witness to incredible transformation in the lives of our players, our campers and our opponents.
This method of mentorship, development and service has proven successful in the past with the merging of our existing programs in the SoCal Catch Baseball team and our i12 Camp Internship. We’ve taken the competitive baseball opportunity and atmosphere of the Catch and merged it with the service-minded camp coach and birthed the idea of the Shepherd. The name is derived from multiple biblical sources including references to Jesus as “the Good Shepherd” and the pastoral connotation of shepherding and guiding the young flock of youth players into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and his church.

"David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them." - Psalm 78:72
“I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” - John 10:11
